lectionary: A collection or arrangement of Scripture readings used in Christian liturgies.
lector: The man responsible for reading the Scriptures aloud in a synagogue or church.
local text theories: Theories of the history of textual transmission that rely on the idea that diversity among manuscripts is based on geographical location.
